Nous Research's agent (CLI & desktop) — add Engrama with a config entry and a browser sign-in.

Before you start

Hermes Agent installed from hermes-agent.nousresearch.com (desktop or CLI).
An LLM provider set up with a model that has at least a 64k context window.

Add Engrama to the config

Open ~/.hermes/config.yaml and add Engrama under mcp_servers with OAuth:

Sign in from a fresh terminal

Run this in a new terminal window — not inside a running Hermes session, where the reload times out before you can finish signing in. Your browser opens for the Engrama sign-in.

Check it loaded

Run hermes mcp test to confirm Engrama's tools appear.

Notes & troubleshooting

Known issue (mid-2026): on some builds a remote OAuth server signs in but its tools don't appear in the chat loop (Hermes bug #39551). If you hit that, update to the latest build — it's a Hermes bug, not your setup.
Don't add an Authorization header alongside auth: oauth — the OAuth flow manages the tokens itself.
